Who we are

An intermediary between Peruvian mineral assets and international counterparties.

Romainville Mining Capital connects Peruvian mineral assets and producing operations with qualified international capital, strategic partners, financiers, traders and offtakers. We represent titled concessions and operations in Peru (copper, gold, silver, molybdenum, iron and lead) and help structure sales, options, joint ventures, financing and offtake.

Our technical lead has two decades of field geology in Peru and long-standing relationships across its mining communities, which gives us direct access to assets and a realistic read on their technical and regulatory standing. On the commercial side, we work with international mining and finance networks to reach the right counterparty for each asset.

Every mandate follows a confidentiality-first process: the vendor's identity and coordinates stay protected until an NDA is signed, technical statements are kept to the level the data supports, and intermediary protections are agreed before any introduction.

Except where a technical report is expressly cited, nothing on this page is a mineral resource or mineral reserve estimate under NI 43-101 or the JORC Code.

Flagship asset · RMC-01

A drilled copper–molybdenum porphyry, 28 km from a major southern-Peru city.

A porphyry Cu–Mo deposit in the southern Peru copper belt that also hosts Cerro Verde, Cuajone and Quellaveco. It is delineated by 120 diamond drill holes (119,230 m) and the resource remains open at depth.

Historical NI 43-101 report. The project is supported by a 2014 NI 43-101 Technical Report containing a Preliminary Economic Assessment prepared by AMC Mining Consultants. The report and its estimates are historical and require independent review and confirmation before being relied upon. Effective date: 28 February 2014.

  • 275 MtProcessed over about 30 years by block caving in two lifts

A PEA is preliminary in nature and includes Inferred Mineral Resources that are considered too speculative geologically to have economic considerations applied to them that would enable them to be categorised as Mineral Reserves. There is no certainty that the PEA will be realised. No Mineral Reserves have been estimated.

Geology and mineralisation

The deposit lies on the south-west slope of the Western Cordillera, in the Andean porphyry Cu–Mo belt. A dacitic porphyry intrudes a granodiorite pluton; mineralisation follows the contact between the two and is associated with chlorite–sericite and potassic alteration and six types of breccia. The main sulphides are chalcopyrite and molybdenite with minor bornite, galena and sphalerite, plus minor silver and gold. The leached cap is only 1–5 m thick, and the resource remains open at depth.

Drilling, sampling and QA/QC

Drilling began in 2009: 120 holes for 119,230 m, averaging 945 m in depth, on an approximate 70 m × 70 m grid. 62,033 samples were assayed for Cu, Mo, Ag, Pb and Zn at an accredited laboratory in Lima, plus 3,436 for Au, with more than 9,600 density measurements. AMC reviewed core handling and QA/QC during a June 2013 site visit. The report identifies a molybdenum assay bias to be resolved through re-assaying and certified standards.

Metallurgy

Testwork on a drill-core sample indicated 89% copper recovery to a 23% Cu concentrate and 83% molybdenum recovery to a 46% Mo concentrate. The copper concentrate was clean, with no significant penalty elements. The PEA economics use more conservative recoveries of 79% Cu and 80% Mo, and the report recommends a more representative sample for further testwork.

Mining concept and infrastructure

Underground block caving in two lifts: Lift 1 at 1,860 m elevation producing 40,000 t/d, and Lift 2 at 1,400 m elevation producing 25,000 t/d from year 18, for 275 Mt processed over about 30 years. Access is by a 4.7 km dual ramp. The site is reached by paved and gravel roads, power would come from the national grid through a proposed 13 km, 220 kV line, and concentrate would travel by rail to the port of Islay. Water supply requires further study.

Next steps recommended in the report

Infill drilling to about 40 m × 40 m (44 holes, approximately US$6.7M) to upgrade the resource classification; resolution of the molybdenum assay bias; structural, geotechnical and hydrogeological studies; a detailed environmental impact assessment; firmer capital and operating cost estimates; and a formal agreement on fiscal terms with the government.

  • Production-stage financing

Working-capital lines, equipment financing and operational credit facilities for mines with demonstrated cash flow and a resource base.

  • Offtake-backed structures

Financing secured by offtake agreements, which can allow producers to monetise future production without diluting equity.

  • Streaming and royalty facilitation

Introductions to streaming and royalty companies, including internationally listed groups, seeking long-term exposure to Peruvian metal production.

  • Bridge and mezzanine capital

Short- to medium-term bridge and mezzanine structures to fund expansion, equipment upgrades or working-capital gaps at producing operations.
